£1 donation to Ripple Effect

£1.00

Ripple Effect was founded in the 1980s by Devon dairy farmer

Today, it’s a partnership of experienced and committed African staff, working with fundraising and resource support from the UK and US. They work in seven African countries, providing local livestock, seeds, and practical training in sustainable farming and business skills – enabling disadvantaged families to grow enough food to eat, and more to sell.

The trained farmers pass on their knowledge to their friends and neighbours, creating positive change that helps the whole community. For every family you help support, three more families will benefit.

If you want to donate more than £1, just increase the quantity to the number of pounds you want to donate. And if you’d like to donate regularly, you can add the donation to your regular order.

Riverford and Ripple Effect

We have a long relationship with Ripple Effect. Like Riverford, they believe in good farming as the source of secure food, lives, and communities. Their entire approach is organic; by teaching farmers to improve soil fertility, conserve water, and create holistic systems with no waste, Ripple Effect foster sustainable change.

The relationship builds on our existing links with Uganda (where our donation efforts are focused). We have personal contacts at Ripple Effect in Uganda, including Timothy Njakasi, who has worked at Riverford, and set up the Kasengi-Riverford Training Centre to teach organic farming; Patrick, who runs an orphanage; and several other smallholders who have visited Riverford on educational projects. We’ve also been out to see their amazing work for ourselves.
