Chicken breast fillets (skin on) Reared by Ross Gardner at Blackdown Hills, Devon

£11.95 / 370g

About

Organic free-range chicken breast fillets. We source our chicken from organic West Country farms. Short of raising chickens in the garden yourself, it would be hard to better these birds for flavour and welfare. The breast is lean, tender and endlessly versatile; we leave the skin on, as it helps the meat stay super succulent.

Delivered in insulated packaging to keep cool on your doorstep. Minimum meat order £15 to cover the cost of the packaging.

Approximately 2 chicken breast fillets per pack.

How to prepare

You can roast, fry or gently poach the breast whole; about 15 mins in a moderate oven, frying pan or barely simmering pan (make sure no pink remains). If frying or roasting, try and get the skin nicely browned. Cut the breasts into thin strips or cubes for a faster cook in a frying pan - 4-5 mins should suffice.

Storage

Keep refrigerated below 5°C. Once opened, use immediately for best quality. If not required immediately freeze as soon as possible and always within the use by date. Once frozen use within 1 month. Defrost in a fridge and use same day. Do not refreeze.

Reared by Ross Gardner, Blackdown Hills, Devon

Ross Gardner knows a thing or two about how to keep a bird happy. For almost 50 years, his family has reared and produced poultry on the banks of the River Otter in the Blackdown Hills, East Devon – an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty. We enjoy Ross’s plump organic ducks throughout the year, and look forward to his traditional turkeys and geese every Christmas.
