Stormy coastline cocktail
Our take on the classic dark and stormy cocktail, using gorse flower rum. The rum has a gorgeous coconut and almond aroma to it, which carries beautifully with the punchy ginger and zesty lemon flavours added in this cocktail.
Ingredients
- 50ml gorse rum - [see recipe](/recipes/gorse-flower-rum)
- 1/2 inch of ginger, peeled & thinly sliced
- 1/4 lemon, cut into wedges & deseeded
- 1 tsp sugar
- soda water

Step 1
Into a tall glass, put the lemon, ginger and sugar. Muddle firmly to extract the juice and dissolve the sugar (if you don't have a muddler, you can use a rolling pin/pestle).

Add the gorse rum and stir. Finally, add plenty of ice and top up with soda water to fill the glass.
