The Fresh Flour Company

The Fresh Flour Company is based just down the road from our Devon farm, in the village of Buckfastleigh. They mill British heritage and ancient wheat varieties into flour, add Dartmoor water, and make a really special range of pastas and noodles.

Andrew Gilhespy was inspired to create The Fresh Flour Company after attending Devon’s ecology-focused Schumacher College. There, he was mentored by some of the UK’s most visionary millers and bakers.

Today, Fresh Flour work in partnership with organic farmers, who are always fairly paid. They mill the grain into flour on their own premises, and make all of their own products – only ever adding other ethically sourced, natural ingredients.
